Stamping Assemblies

RKMetals supplies many different types of metal stamping assemblies to the automotive, industrial and heavy truck industries. We manufacture metal brackets with welded nuts & bolts or assemblies containing one metal stamping staked to another metal stamping.

RKMetals offers the following types of welding to its customers.

• Spot or resistance welding which is part on part welding of two metal stampings together. We currently produce metal shelf brackets, tank holders and air compressor brackets for the automotive industry using this process.
• Projection welding – Welding nuts and studs to metal stampings. RK Metals currently welds over 50,000 nuts and studs to stamped metal brackets each month.
• Mig Welding – We weld machined collars to metal brackets for construction.

RKMetals also produces many stamping assemblies using a staking process. We stake brackets together using solid or tubular rivets as well as join two stampings together by staking them to each other. We make retractor bases for the safety restraint industry by staking a fineblanking, a metal clip and a metal bracket together. We make air bag rails by staking 5 different metal brackets in one die.
